Bronwyn is a social worker, sexologist and psychotherapist with a Masters in Applied Mental Health studies – older persons specialisation. Bronwyn has more than 30 years’ experience in private and public mental health. Bronwyn has returned to private practice with a special interest in older person’s mental health, having worked in the Older Adult Mental Health team at Albany Community Mental Health for the past eight years. Bronwyn was the principal researcher for the Sexuality in Dementia (SID) pilot project during her tenure at CMH, a project that addressed a critical yet overlooked aspect of care for older adults with dementia in residential aged care facilities. This research was published in the Australian Journal of Dementia Care in January 2026.
Bronwyn recognises that older people may find it difficult to discuss their mental health experiences and offers years of practice wisdom and understanding of this struggle. Bronwyn has a flexible approach to the treatment of older person’s mental health with a focus on short term, evidence based, client centred interventions.
Bronwyn is an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker and able to offer Medicare rebates with a Mental Health Care plan from your GP. Bronwyn will also accept self-referrals and referrals from other health professionals. Bronwyn is excited to be part of the team at Agewell who offer a multi-professional service.
